Ashley Puckett was born on January 9th, 1992, and did most of her growing up in North Huntingdon, PA. Music didn't run in the family, but Ashley started singing when she was very young, and writing soon followed. She sang in Chorus, district festivals, Select Choir, talent shows, and karaoke. She later began taking guitar lessons, which began in January of 2007. Although Ashley’s music varied from Country to Rock, she always found herself coming back to the sound of traditional country. “Song writing for me is the way of speaking out and being heard when you think that nobody would really understand or listen. If you put your feelings into songs, people take to the story better, whether it is about love, relationships, or daily life because it is accompanied by a melody with guitars, drums, a piano, and different instruments, which spices the story up a bit. The Country genre allows me to do just that, whether it involves writing, singing, or just listening”, says Ashley about Country music.
