Formed in 2000, the band consisting of Jonathan Mahoney on vocals and Steve Pratt on guitar went through drummer after drummer trying to find the right fit for the band. They made songs, played shows, and just had fun being a band. After different attempts at forming a successful band they got to the point where it seemed like they were done. Flash to the summer of 2006 when John Kopfle became a "free agent." Jon and Steve quickly jumped on the chance to get John in their band. They got together, began to write and quickly became the Departed. They rented out a practice spot and then began to write songs. They went through some line-up changes between bassists and rhythm guitarists before finalizing it to Tom Mohalland on bass and Alex Hamell on Rhythm Guitar. They are bringing back the heavy metal, hardcore, and thrash style of music that has been missing from the music scene since the early 90s. Follow them as they try to pave their way into the business and stay as true to themselves as they possibly can.
