MYTHICA takes the listener on a musical roller coaster ride through time and culture by applying the Celtic tones of the violin and whistles, the 2,000-year-old sounds of the hammered dulcimer, the familiar comfort of the acoustic guitar, and the electronic vibes of the 21st century. Hailed as a "a cross between Grace Slick and Loreena McKennitt" by Sing Out! Magazine, Mythica has opened for a long list of national and international acts, including the Young Dubliners, the Makem Brothers, the Spin Doctors, Sister Hazel, Catie Curtis and others. Lead singer Melissa Cox was awarded Delaware's Best Musical Folk Artist of 2008 by the DE Division of the Arts, and was voted Delaware's Best Singer/Songwriter by Spark Magazine. Their song "Just Kidding" was voted Best Instrumental Song by 93.7 FM WSTW.
