NY Hard Rock band, The Raygun Girls, began as a studio project in 2001. After recording “Mars Eclipsing” in 2004, the band was taken to the live stage, adding George on bass. Work began on new music, with lead female vocals, Metal guitar, hard hitting beats, and catchy songs.
With the addition of Jason on lead guitar, “The Ones I Denied” was released in 2006. Upon the strength of “Sleep” and “Can’t Die Now,” The Raygun Girls was invited to play the Rock Solid Pressure A&R Showcase. The Raygun Girls put together a tour and headed down South. With only a 10 minute set, The Raygun Girls were offered deals by 2 independent labels that were in attendance.
The Raygun Girls then returned to New York to begin contract negotiations. As 2006 came to a close, singer Cila was invited to join The Raygun Girls, bringing fresh blood, excitement and energy to a band about to explode.
January 2007 saw The Raygun Girls signing with KillZone Records and beginning work on a 3rd album to be released in early 2008.
