Rod Strong was born and raised in Providence, RI. He grew up in a close knit family, with a strong Italian-American background. At a very young age, he showed an undeniable interest in music and performing. He was always entertaining his family and friends, which started to pave a path toward his future to live his dream.

In his mid-teen years, he developed an eagerness to expand his musical horizons and knowledge. He decided he wanted to be a Hip Hop DJ. After only a few years, Rod Strong found himself spinning for popular radio stations, night clubs, and opening for some of the hottest concerts and events. He soon built a solid reputation as one of the most popular and sought after DJs in New England. In 2001 he was crowned "Rhode Island's Best Club DJ" for Rhode Island Hip Hop Awards.
