Bio: 22 years ago NALEDi was born in the Kalahari Desert of Botswana, Africa... the very night that Halley's Comet burned across the midnight black desert sky. The local village women gave her the honorary name Naledi (pronounced Nah-Lady), which means 'star' because there is no word for 'comet' in their language. NALEDi is a registered Trademark. NALEDi was 3 years old when she knew that she wanted to be a singer... and 7 years old when she wrote her very first song. She grew up in Texas but as a British/American dual-citizen, spent alot of time in Europe, which opened her eyes to culture and fueled her love of the international language of music. At 15 she discovered Memphis, Tennessee and began spending as much time as she could down on Beale Street absorbing the Blues music. While her music is not classic Blues but her own Pop blend, she took from her appreciation of the Blues its reputation for putting your pain and love into your songs, as well as wearing your heart on your sleeve onstage.
