Sarah Goslee Reed

I grew up in a musical household - my father played the bassoon in the Cleveland Orchestra and my mother played the cello and string bass. There was always music, mostly live, coming from the house. The folk music of the sixties was very influential, so I taught myself to play the guitar, based upon my knowledge of the violin, while learning songs by listening to records. My newest CD, “It’s About Time” is a tribute to my dad, George Goslee, former principal bassoonist with the Cleveland Orchestra. Previous solo recordings, “Like The Light of the Moon” and “Cowboy on the Highway”, also feature my dad playing his bassoon - an unusual accompaniment for folk music. Classical music is still a big piece of my life, and I love nature and animals.
