7k's infectious, unusual alt-rock runs the gamut from mid-90s alternative balladry to full-blown arena-sized assaults. Influenced by artists from 311 and the Police to Live and Led Zeppelin, Orange County-based 7k is more than the sum of its songs, musical chops and powerful performances. 7k is a band on a mission: to inspire their audience to live their unlived lives. The OC foursome has rocked audiences in 5 states with adrenalized performances of its catchy, substantial rock songs. 2 poppier EPs [produced by Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket] led to the ‘05 release of their more rockified full-length debut, Through the Windshield, which garnered airplay on many stations including LA’s KCRW. While Windshield established 7k as an OC force to be reckoned with, it was their 2006 follow-up EP & live DVD Knick Knacks and Apparel that earned 7k nationwide airplay & national press. Now at work on their next release, 7k are regulars at House of Blues Anaheim and tour regionally in prep for world domination.
