KRISTA DETOR's debut album, MUDSHOW, was released in 2006 to international critical acclaim, garnering an average of 4+ star reviews, and reaching the #1 spot on the Euro-Americana Chart. Her follow-up album, COVER THEIR EYES, is making similar waves in the European musical world and will be released in the U.S. in April 2008. Krista Detor defies genre, but the quality of her writing has been compared to the likes of Leonard Cohen, Laura Nyro, Tom Waits and Joni Mitchell, company she is more than happy to keep. Touring the U.S. and Europe consistently, Detor has shared stages with Joan Armatrading, Suzanne Vega, Loudon Wainwright, Colin Linden, Luka Bloom, Slaid Cleaves, Carrie Newcomer, Pierce Pettis and John Gorka, among others and travels with her partner and producer, David Weber.

Oh, my, my! Krista Detor is so incredibly talented, it is ridiculous! Loving her beautifully rich alto vocals is enough ... but the lyrics she writes are out of this world ~ they have greater depth and texture than the words of your favorite poet and your favorite storyteller combined! And then there are her intricately detailed melodies interwoven with those lyrics....the effect is seriously too much! I can't stop listening. She is too talented! Listen yourself, and be bewitched!
