Myxer Account Balance - Common Questions

What is my Myxer Account Balance?

Your account balance shows how much money exists in your Myxer account. You can see your account balance from your account home page.

Note: if you have no funds in your Myxer account, your account balance will not be displayed.

What can I buy with the funds in my Myxer account?

You can use funds in your Myxer account for the purchase of any premium content, such as ringtones and wallpapers, offered by artists on Myxer.

Where did this money come from?

We used to charge money for Myxer Credits, which were redeemable for making and sending ringtones from Myxer.com. When we stopped charging for this service in October 2006, we wanted to be sure we rewarded our early adopters.

We chose to reward early adopters with funds in their Myxer account balance that they could use to purchase premium content. We rewarded both people who had paid us real money for ringtone credits, as well as people who invited friends who signed up. You can find more information on this page.

Can you just send me a check for the money in my account balance?

Ha, ha, good one!

No.

The money in your account balance is just to be used for the purchase of premium content from Myxer. It's not redeemable or refundable for anything but that.

What happens if my account balance is less than the price or the ringtone I want to buy?

No problem. When you select the ringtone you want to buy, just click on the link that says "buy it online using PayPal". We will only charge you for the difference between your cash balance and the price of the ringtone.

Will my account balance expire?

Your cash balance is good for six months, which means they will expire on June 30th.

We have tons of great premium content available. Click here for some additional info. Use it now before it's gone.

Can I add more money to my Myxer account?

Not at this time. When you run out of money in your account balance, you have to go back to paying for every piece of premium content as you buy it. We just wanted to be sure we had a great way to reward early adopters for their support during the time we were charging for Myxer credits.
