Myxer Pick for Thursday, December 06, 2007
In the era of fly by night bands, it’s rare to see an artist or band that has remained at once vital and varied, and even more so to find one that continues to excel and grow artistically after 25 years on the scene. Storming your MTV with his unique brand of Rock-a-Billy via the Stray Cats back in ’82, Brian Setzer has done his part to eschew the mainstream; yet his continuity and success despite it has earned him an endearing, die-hard following. His latest project, Wolfgang’s Big Night Out is a groovin’ reinterpretation of classics by the masters, including Tchaikovsky, Bach and Beethoven, who’s “Fur Elise” gets the treatment here. Check it out, and see why we think Ludwig would surely be rockin’ as opposed to rollin’ over.

More about QR Codes

The image above is a "QR Code", don't be scared, it looks mean, but it doesn't bite! It's basically a barcode that's easily readable by most cellphones with a camera. Scanning this code will send your phone's internet browser to the mobile version of the content item page you requested.

If you have an iPhone, BlackBerry or Android phone, you can go to Myxer's Favorite Apps to download a QR reader. Or just Google your phone model and "QR Reader" to find an application that can scan and read QR codes.
